VA BBQ Restaurants

Suffolk BBQ Co., Suffolk, VA

September 9, 2015

Suffolk BBQ is our hometown bbq place. They’ve been here a couple of years now and have done pretty well.

I enjoy the pulled pork and the ribs. You can get the ribs dry or with sauce. I prefer dry. I like the smoke and the rub flavors. Their fresh cut fries will bring you back if nothing else does. They’re killer.

Their brisket is also good. This is my wife’s choice. They serve it with sauce on it.

With them being as close as they are to home I’ve tried some of the other items on the menu. The Po Boy Oyster sandwich is very good. I’ve also made a meal out of their appetizer, Smoked Nachos Grande. They’re awesome and large. An average eater will not normally eat this whole platter by themselves.

The owner is usually in there and he tries to speak to everyone that comes in. He genuinely appreciates everyone’s business.  Suffolk BBQ 2

It is nice to live close to a good bbq restaurant. With so many good ones in our surrounding cities, sometimes we just want to stay close to home. Thanks Wayne.

Suffolk BBQ is located on Main St. in Suffolk, VA in front of the Lowes there. They do not have a website but they are on Facebook. Check them out if you’re in the area.

Thanks for the tip. We do head up to the Richmond area rather often and I’d love to check them out. Thanks.
