I’d like to start out by thanking everyone once again for sticking with me during this time without many posts. I want to give you a brief explanation about what’s been going on.

What’s Going On?

My wife, Tammy, was involved in a horrific automobile accident. She is improving every day thanks to the many prayers and support of so many people. I can’t go into a lot of details since this is ongoing and I don’t know where we may end up with this. What I can share is that thankfully she was not at fault and there was nothing more she could have done to prevent the accident. However, even with that known, her truck was totaled and she was trapped inside it until firefighters arrived and got her out. The devastating part of this accident is that there were fatalities involved which she witnessed. Again, while trapped inside. This scene continues to play over and over in her head. The doctors call this PTSD. She is being treated and like I said improving.

So as all this works out our traveling has been very limited to say the least. As much as we both would love to get back out there we just haven’t been able to.

Better Days Are Ahead.

There is hope though. This Saturday is the BBQ Wars: Hampton Roads Competition. I have the honor to be one of the judges for this event. We’ve been looking forward to this since hearing about it many months ago. It’s going to be hot and it’s going to be great. Four fantastic Pitmasters going at it head to head. Check it out at: BBQ WARS: Hampton Roads. This event takes place July 22, 2017 so act fast if you’re interested. Follow the link for more information.

And A Great Road Trip Too.

Also on a high note, Tammy and I are planning to attend our nieces’ weddings. Yep, two of them. One in Pensacola, Florida and the other in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This will be one awesome trip. We’re so excited for our girls plus you know there will be a lot of bbq along the way. As of now we are looking for bbq in NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, MS, LA, TX, OK, AR, and TN. OK, you figure all of them out. Our trip should take us to each of them at some point. We’ve already started checking out some of them on line. I am also open for suggestions. This is the trip that hopefully will get us back up and running with the blog. I make no promises at this point other than we’ll try. Our top priority is to get Tammy healthy and happy.

Thank You!

Hopefully this is enough information to explain what has been happening with us. I ask for your continued patience along with your thoughts and prayers. Tammy and I thank you and look forward to getting on the road again soon. May God bless you for sticking with us.
